UN Report Alleges Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing Against Palestinian Women and Girls

The recent statement by UN experts regarding violations against Palestinian women has sparked widespread condemnation and calls for action. Hamas, in a post on its official Telegram account, described the statement as an affirmation of the "crime of genocide and ethnic cleansing" committed by the Israeli occupation.

The UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) revealed troubling findings, including reports of arbitrary executions of Palestinian women and girls in Gaza, often alongside their family members. Additionally, hundreds of Palestinian women and girls have been arbitrarily detained, subjected to inhumane treatment, denied basic necessities such as menstrual pads, food, and medicine, and subjected to severe beatings.

These revelations have prompted OHCHR to call for an independent, impartial, and effective investigation into the allegations. Moreover, OHCHR has urged Israel to cooperate with the investigation process to ensure accountability for the reported violations.

Hamas has further called for the UN statement to be adopted as additional evidence in a case filed before the International Court of Justice, seeking to examine the crimes of genocide allegedly committed by Israel against the Palestinian people.

The UN's findings underscore the urgent need for international attention and action to address the plight of Palestinian women and girls, as well as to hold perpetrators of human rights violations accountable for their actions.
